Netmarble and Netmarble Nexus have announced that new free-to-play 3D action game Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi will release in 2026 in Japan for PC, Android and iOS. Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi lets players explore the world of the anime in full 3D, and players can battle giant bosses while alternating between two characters. A new teaser trailer for the game was released, featuring the in-game reveal of Wezaemon the Tombguard.
Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 premiered on October 13, 2024, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan. Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 is currently in production with no confirmed release date yet.
A total of 25 episodes for the first season of the Shangri-La Frontier anime series aired in two cours from October 2023 to March 2024. 13 episodes aired in the first cour, followed by 12 episodes in the second cour.
Katarina began the Shangri-La Frontier web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. Three years later, the manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji began in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020.
