According to reports, the Saudi-based Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC) has acquired a 5.03% stake in Capcom. The company also owns SNK

Specifically, EGDC has acquired 26,788,500 shares of Capcom, a massive amount. It states that the purchase of the acquisition is for “pure investment,” and earning profits from stock price increases or dividends. This is separate from the 5.03% stake owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. Saudi Arabian Crown Price Mohammed Bin Salman founded EGDC in 2020 through his MiSK foundation. The company acquired SNK in 2022.

Over the last few years, Capcom has released major games such as Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted ReflectionMonster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6. In the coming years, it will release even more titles, such as Onimusha: Way of the SwordMega Man: Dual Override, and a sequel to Okami.

Its next game will be PRAGMATA, which will release on April 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. As an exclusive bonus, players who pre-order will receive Hugh’s samurai-styled Neo Bushido outfit and Diana’s ninja-inspired Neo Kunoichi costume. A “Sketchbook” demo for the game is available now on all platforms.

Alongside the standard version (MSRP $59.99), a Deluxe Edition (MSRP $69.99) will be available, which includes the Shelter Variety Pack. This bundle offers an assortment of alternate cosmetic outfits for Hugh and Diana, a weapon skin, emotes for Diana, extra background music for the Shelter, and an in-game library with 75 pieces of digital artwork.

Further, a new PRAGMATA Diana amiibo figure will be available for Switch 2. Six songs from the original soundtrack, including “Memories Are You,” are now streaming on major music services, including Spotify.
