The Pokémon Company has revealed several major milestones that the recent Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Los Angeles event reached. The event took place from February 20 to 22.
The milestones are as follows:
- 43,000 unique Trainers participated in Pokémon GO Tour – Kalos at the Rose Bowl
- 330,000 total Trainers participated in City-wide gameplay.
- 11 million total Pokémon caught at the Rose Bowl.
- More than 2,300,000 Mega Raid battles won by Trainers in the region.
- Over 27,000 Pokémon Mega evolved for the first time.
- Over 69,000,000 Mega Energy consumed by Trainers over the weekend.
- Over 1.3 million kilometers walked by all ticketed Trainers.
Next week, the celebrations will continue with Pokémon GO Tour Kalos – Global on March 1 and 2. The event will feature multiple Mega Evolutions from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, plus new shiny Pokémon, special research, and gameplay bonuses. Recently, The Pokémon Company announced that it will release the next season of Pokémon GO, titled “Memories in Motion,” on March 3. The season will feature multiple changes to the structure of future events.
As part of the season, different days of the week will feature a new Daily Discovery experience. Further, any evolved Pokémon in the wild can be Shiny if it has already had its Shiny debut in Pokémon GO. You also have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon from Raid Battles and hatching them from eggs. There will be new community days set for March 14, April 11, May 9, and May 16.
Lastly, Pokémon GO is available now on iOS and Android. On Friday, February 27, The Pokémon Company will hold a Pokémon Presents dedicated to the future of the franchise.
