The Pokémon Company has announced that it will release the next season of Pokémon GO, titled “Memories in Motion,” on March 3. Additionally, the season will feature multiple changes to the structure of future events.
As part of the season, different days of the week will feature a new Daily Discovery experience. Further, any evolved Pokémon in the wild can be Shiny if it has already had its Shiny debut in Pokémon GO. You also have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon from Raid Battles and hatching them from eggs. There will be new community days set for March 14, April 11, May 9, and May 16. The following adjustments will be made to future events, starting with “Memories in Motion”:
- Event pacing will be adjusted to a more regular schedule.
- Weekend events will move to Saturdays, local time.
- Events will move away from paid tickets to event GO Passes.
- Later this season, trainers will have access to an in-game event calendar with new information.
Additionally, The Pokémon Company describes the new special research story, titled “Pressure Rising” as follows:
The Special Research story Pressure Rising will be available to all Trainers for free starting March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time! Following the completion of the Glitz and Glam Special Research, Trainers who complete the Pressure Rising Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion.
