REMIMORY has delayed the launch of Castaway Diary: Portal to the Unknown Isles on Steam Early Access from the second half of 2026 to 2027. It has also revealed the roadmap for the game leading up to its release.
Leading up to its launch in Early Access, the game will get a playtest in Q1 2027, followed by a demo, and then a Steam Next Fest content drop. In addition, the game will now support Russian and Traditional Chinese alongside English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese language support. In a statement on its Steam page, REMIMORY outlines the delay:
“While there are various external factors behind this delay, the primary reason is to further elevate the game’s overall quality and deliver an experience with a level of polish you truly deserve. Since our first reveal, we have received far more attention and enthusiasm than we ever anticipated, and we decided on this postponement to live up to those high expectations. We kindly ask for your understanding.”
