The Pokémon Company released a new sales update for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, confirming that the game reached 5.8 million copies sold in the first week of its launch. According to The Pokémon Company, nearly half of all copies of Pokémon Legends: Z-A were sold on Nintendo Switch 2.
In Famitsu’s latest sales chart, Pokémon Legends: Z-A was the best-selling game of the week with 872,552 copies sold on Switch and 612,905 on Switch 2. A total of 1,485,457 retail copies were sold, but it’s worth noting that this is not the full figure of copies sold in Japan, since digital eShop sales aren’t tracked.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A launched October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will cost $59.99, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $69.99, and the upgrade pack costs $9.99.
In the near future, fans will embark on a new journey with the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, featuring the mythical Pokémon Hoopa. In the new DLC, Pokémon Legends Z-A players can discover new Mega Evolutions, including Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y.
