Konami has announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, the follow-up to 2023’s Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, will be heading to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 27. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 puts together Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel together into one package for players to experience.

For many reasons, this release is a huge deal for Metal Gear fans. Before Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, the only platform Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was ever released on was PlayStation 3, where it has remained since launch.

Last year, Konami released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In our 4.5/5 review, we wrote, “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the definitive way to experience one of the best games in a series known for its excellence. Some technical issues can mar the overall package, but there is no denying how much work has gone into this remake.”
