Konami announced the version 2.0.0 update adds 4K support to Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
4K support has been added to both Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater via a new internal upscaling option in Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1. This feature is available after switching Resolution Settings from “Original Mode” to “Adjusted Mode,” freeing up the new option.
4K internal upscaling is only present in the PC, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions. It’s worth noting that the Xbox Series S version upscales to 1440p instead of 4K. Moreover, the update brings additional controller settings to all platforms, according to the patch notes.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 includes the original Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Moreover, the collection includes Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge (NES). The original Metal Gear Solid title will include VR Missions and Special Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are based off of their HD Collection versions.
Moreover, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater may be purchased separately. However, Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge are exclusive to the collection.
Lastly, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
