Nintendo has released version 3.1.0 for the Nintendo Store App, a new update which is available now on iOS and Android. The update adds multiple long-requested features.
The update notes for version 3.1.0 of the Nintendo Store App are as follows:
- Adds the ability to view search results in-app
- Adds the ability to enlarge screenshots on product pages
- Improves performance in the Search and Wish List tabs
The Nintendo Store App initially released in November 2025, and allows users to directly purchase and download games directly from their mobile device. Previously, users who tried to search up a specific game would’ve had a pop-up which opened the store page within their specific browser of choice. Now, everything is localized entirely within the app.
Recently, Nintendo held a Partner Showcase which featured multiple new announcements for upcoming third-party games. This includes new looks at Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Pragmata, and Resident Evil Requiem.
Additionally, Nintendo and Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3. Nintendo Switch 2 owners can pick up the game for $49.99, with physical copies including one exclusive Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY ‘Zack Fair’ promo card featuring variant art by Tetsuya Nomura and a reversible inlay with alternate cover art. Pre-orders are open at the Square Enix Store.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second chapter in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. Following the escape from Midgar, the party steps out into the open world for the very first time. Rebirth features many iconic locations like Cosmo Canyon, Nibelheim, Gongaga, and more, ending with the iconic conclusion of Disc 1 from the original game.
