A new report from The Verge has outlined Xbox‘s roadmap in 2026. The roadmap includes Halo: Campaign Evolved in summer 2026 and reaffirms that a remastered version of Fallout 3 is in development.
The main four releases from Xbox in 2026 include Forza Horizon 6, Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Gears of War: E-Day. Forza Horizon 6 is already confirmed to release on May 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. It will release later on PlayStation 5. Afterwards, Halo: Campaign Evolved will reportedly release in summer 2026, despite the fact that Halo: Combat Evolved will celebrate its 25th anniversary in November 2026. Fable will release in Fall 2026, while Gears of War: E-Day is targeting a late 2026 launch.
The report also states that a remastered version of Fallout 3 is still in development and targeting a similar level of polish as the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake. Additionally, Kiln, a game from the Microsoft-owned Double Fine, will release in Spring 2026. Further, Xbox is working on improvements to the “full screen experience” that powers the Xbox Ally devices and the Xbox PC UI. It will also continue to develop its next gen console, which is aiming for a 2027 release.
Recently, Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will support cross-play and cross-saves across all platforms. With cross-saves, Forza Horizon 6 players will be able to play together on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S while continuing their progress on whichever versions of the game they own. Lastly, pre-orders for Forza Horizon 6 and its Deluxe and Premium Editions are available now.
