During the recent Xbox Developer Direct, Double Fine announced a new game titled Kiln, which will release in Spring 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Kiln is a multiplayer action game themed entirely around pottery. Here, you create your own pot in a deeply immersive experience, where you can choose to make a massive vase, or a smaller bowl, among other things. Depending on the shape of your pot, your attacks will vary. One of the major modes requires you to compete in a 4v4 race to deliver water using your pot to the opposing team’s kiln and snuff out the flame at the core. Double Fine also confirmed that it will release a closed beta soon and that it plans to continue to update the game, even after launch.

Double Fine has worked on countless beloved games over the years. This includes Psychonauts, Costume Quest, Grim Fandango, Broken Age, and the remastered versions of Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle. Its most recent game, Keeper, is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
