Xbox and Playground Games have announced that Fable will release in Autumn 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows. Additionally, Playground Games provided new details about the upcoming release in an Xbox Wire post.
In the blog post from Xbox Wire, Playground Games confirmed that Fable will serve as a new beginning and soft reboot for the series. It also revealed that, much like with other entries in the franchise, the game will start with the protagonist as a young child. The combat balances ranged attacks, melee attacks, and magic.
Further, the original trilogy’s emphasis on player freedom remains intact, as you can choose to get married, have children, get a divorce, become a landlord, evict people, and more.
