SEGA’s latest NGS Headline WAVE broadcast revealed new updates and events for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis launching in February 2026. The month of February 2026 begins with the return of Ultra PSO2 Month on February 1 in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, followed by new updates on a weekly basis.
Ultra PSO2 Month brings a number of boosts, such as a +100% boost to Rare Drop Rate to ARKS with an active Premium Set. This boost increases the Rare Drop Rate boost to +500% when considering boosts from Super Genesis Festival. There will also be PSO2 Day gifts, more Star Gems, and a second Ultra PSO2 Day event on February 21.
On February 4, the level cap will be increased to 115 in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, and new quests and the 14-star Rarity Spradio weapon series will be introduced. New Mini Episodes will be released with insights into what Aina, Nadereh and Manon are up to. This is in addition to the new Nameless City Exploration quest: “Nameless City Entertainment Zone Investigation” and Trial: Star Rappy Twinkle Collection, which offer bountiful rewards and new Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks. 19 new cards based on PSO2 and NGS characters will be added to the Card Scratch as well, and there will be a collab Hexa Gear and Megami Drive AC Scratch Ticket.
On February 10, NGS Season 53 of the Mission Pass will be available with valuable items such as Personal Shop Use (3 Days) and SG Scratch Ticket Prize Slips. The pass features the returning Lightning Bolt Tagaishi armor accessory and the new Mouton Foam Clogs and Luxurious Cat Tail accessories, to name a few rewards.
The new Limited-time Quest: Drill: Mounting a Regional Defense arrives on February 18 with up to eight ARKS Defenders in a single instance of the quest. Like previous Limited-time Quests, there will be Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks to complete for rewards like Titles and Big Bang Scratch Fever Tickets. The Limited-time Urgent Quest: Pale Flame of the Planetwrecker will also be back.
