SEGA’s latest NGS Headline WAVE broadcast revealed several new updates and events for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis launching in January 2026. The series of updates will begin on January 1, 2026, kicking off the new year with the second half of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Super Genesis Festival ’25, and new story content for 2026 was teased in the roadmap.
Central City will soon be decorated for New Year’s Day, and the Region Mags will put on their winter coats. Raguo Rappy and Raguo Great Rappy will appear in the wild, and Xiandy appears with wintry attire, as she’s investing enemy movement in Halpha. The Season Points Exchange Shop will feature new Rice Cake Making and Zoni Soup Build Parts, the Deser Gunblade accessory, N-EX-Cubes, items for Tech Arts Customization, Super Genesis Festival ’25 SP Scratch Tickets, and much more. There will also be Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks with additional rewards, including TA Customization Disc X/Omni, N-Master Cubes, and Arms Refiner II.
On January 7, Altered Battle Line: Tundra Area Gorge will be added to Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors. Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors requires players to activate PSE Bursts and take down the powerful High Enemies that appear during PSE Climaxes. There will also be new Trials, including Arklan Disruption Zone Enemy Suppression and Raid Area Enemy Suppression. In addition to new buffs, there will be more Limited-time and Title Tasks with more rewards.
That same day, Drill: Luther, Emergent Created Conqueror will be available as a Trigger Quest. The Quest Triggers needed to accept this quest will be available at the N-Meseta Treasure Shop until February 4. on January 21, the Limited-time Quest: Drill: Three-Way Race will arrives with 12-player races and additional rewards.
