Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000, a new game that’s set to release in 2027. Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000 will feature all-new original characters, along with those created and depicted by manga authors Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou. Toriyama was involved in the game’s development for six to seven years before his passing, and new details will be revealed at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026.
What’s more, the Dragon Ball Super anime will return in Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol. Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol will cover the events of the manga’s Moro arc, after much anticipation from fans. Before the reveal, a new trailer celebrating Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary was released with music by renowned composer Hans Zimmer.
The Dragon Ball GENKIDAMATSURI event is being held on January 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. JST to 6:30 p.m. JST at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. During the event, Bandai Namco, Toei Animation, and Shueisha will make major announcements regarding the long-running franchise.
Further, the results of the first-ever Dragon Ball The One Worldwide Character Popularity Poll were revealed, narrowing down the top 21 of 212 characters. Goku took the #1 spot of the Dragon Ball The One Worldwide Character Popularity Poll. Previously, fans had the opportunity to vote for their favorite Dragon Ball characters on the poll’s official website over the course of four stages.
Fans can catch up on all 20 episodes of the Dragon Ball Daima anime series, which are streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix with English subs and dubs. Lastly, the English dub for the anime is streaming in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
