Compile Heart Teases New School RPG by Megami Tensei Co-Creator Kouji Okada

Idea Factory and Compile Heart have teased a new “school RPG” by Megami Tensei and Persona series co-creator Kouji “Cozy” Okada. A full reveal is planned for January 29, according to the game’s official teaser website. What’s more, the game is teased as “Kouji Okada’s final message to the next generation. 

Okada is the project manager of the new school RPG, and he’s joined by scenario writer Tadashi Satomi, who previously wrote the stories of Revelations: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Megami Tensei series composer Tsukasa Masuko is the sound composer of the new RPG, and Ilya Kuvshinov (Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045) is the character designer. 

Masuko’s most recent work in the gaming industry is Dark Auction, a new mystery adventure game from IzanagiGames. Masuko is a part of Dark Auction’s music production team alongside Yuko Komiyama, the lead composer of Dark Auction and the Monster Hunter series, and the previously announced jazz band. A free demo for Dark Auction is now available on PC via Steam, giving fans a preview of the story before the game launches on January 29, 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam worldwide.
