Osamu Akimoto’s Mr. Clice manga is getting a new anime adaptation, along with a new manga chapter in the Jump SQ. RISE 2026 Winter issue in late January 2026. A release date for the Mr. Clice anime was not confirmed, and more details will be revealed at a later date.

Jin Clice is a super dashing spy, special agent for Japan’s elite espionage program, whose body was mortally wounded by the KGB. Having already invested a lot of money in him, the agency would not allow him to die so easily though. Desperately trying to save his life, the government transferred his mind into the body of a recently deceased tennis player which happens to be a young beautiful woman! The dashing ladies man has, in essence, gone from being Bond to being the Bond girl!
Further, the TV anime adaptation of Akimoto’s KochiKame manga will return with a “New KochiKame” anime project by studio Gallop. This anime celebrates the 50th anniversary of the manga, but fans will need to wait until spring 2026 for the anniversary website to open. The anime’s cast will be revealed in September 2026.
In addition, Shueisha Games and Kairosoft have announced KochiKame: Ryo-san’s Billion-yen Beat, a new city builder sim game for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. KochiKame: Ryo-san’s Billion-yen Beat is in development with no confirmed release date yet. The Steam version will support English, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese text options.
REMOW is currently streaming the classic KochiKame anime on the It’s Anime YouTube channel. The channel streams the anime with English subtitles in the U.S. and Canada.
