Smilegate and Super Creative has released a new update for Chaos Zero Nightmare featuring Chapter 2 of Forbidden Catalyst, Season 1 of the story-based seasonal content “Galactic Disaster” and several new pieces of content, including the new Combatant Chizuru.

In Chapter 2, the protagonists pursue “Kaguya Pharmaceutical” to recover the stolen “Primonium,” unfolding into a chase with “Yuki.” The Great Rift ranked mode has also been introduced, allowing players to compete by dealing damage to a boss in order to receive rewards, including in-game currency and limited-edition decorations. The Galactic Disaster reward shop now includes “Omega Code,” a material used for Ego Manifestation (Transcendence) for all Combatants.

The Chaos Zero Nightmare update adds Chizuru and Itsuku as a new Combatant and Partner, respectively. Chizuru is a 5-star Void attribute Psionic Combatant who fights using her exclusive skill “Cursed Shackles,” which allows her to obtain powerful upgrade cards. Her “Bound At Dusk” card can reduce card-use costs as well.

There are various new content updates and system-related improvements as well. The “Unigram” messenger-style system and “Favorite Presents” were added to enhance bonding with owned Combatants. Special events may also occur in Unigram depending on affinity levels.

The Blackhorn Trade permanent shop has been added, allowing players to spend “Crystal of Discord” earned by playing the “Chaos Manifestation,” “Codex,” and “Galactic Disaster” content. The shop offers various items that support progression. What’s more, the amount of in-game currency required to level up Combatants and Partners has been reduced by 80% from the previous update, and any currency previously spent will be refunded to players retroactively.

Further, a new 21-day check-in event is being held with rewards like “Rescue Anchors” and “Signal Amplification Anchors,” which are used to obtain Combatants and Partners, various growth materials, Prism Lenses, and more.

Lastly, Chaos Zero Nightmare is available now for Android via Google Play, iOS via App Store, and PC via STOVE.
