Studio Chizu has released an English-subtitled official trailer for the studio’s Scarlet anime film, which is directed by Mamoru Hosoda. This is the English-subtitled version of the first official Scarlet trailer, which was released on August 1.
Scarlet will release in theaters in Japan on November 21 and in the United States on December 12.
The cast includes:
- Mana Ashida as Scarlet
- Masaki Okada as Hijiri
- Yutaka Matsushige as Cornelius
- Kōtarō Yoshida as Voltemand
- Kōji Yakusho as Claudius
- Masachika Ichimura as Amulet
- Yuki Saitō as Gertrude
- Shōta Sometani as Guildenstern
- Munetaka Aoki as Rosencrantz
- Kazuhiro Yamaji as Polonius
- Tokio Emoto as Laertes
The cast also includes Kayoko Shiraishi, Noa Shiroyama, Michio Hazama, Mamoru Miyano, Kenjirō Tsuda, and Toshio Furukawa. Kazuki Namioka, Kōki Uchiyama, Shirō Saitō, Reina Ueda, and Atsumi Tanezaki are part of the cast in unannounced roles.
Hosoda directs the film, writes the screenplay and is also credited for the original work. Yūichirō Saitō is the producer. TOHO is releasing the film in Japan, and Sony Pictures handles distribution outside Japan.
