Nintendo Releases Switch 2 Game Compatibility Website

A new way to check if certain games are supported on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo has released a website for players to check the compatibility status of certain games on the Nintendo Switch 2. Through the site, you can check if certain games are supported or unsupported on the system. 

Most games, such as Kirby Star AlliesXenoblade Chronicles 3Splatoon 3Animal Crossing: New Horizons, are fully supported on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, games like NieR: Automata – End of the YorHa Edition are unsupported. In NieR‘s case, it’s due to issues with progression. For more detailed information on which games are supported and which aren’t, the Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility website is now open

The next major game from Nintendo is Kirby Air Riders, releasing on November 20. Recently, Nintendo held the first round of the Global Test Ride for the game, for players hoping to try it out. The next round will take place on the following dates and times:

  • November 15, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. PT
  • November 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PT
  • November 16, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT

The new Kirby & Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star amiibo will also launch on November 20. Players can tap them to summon Figure Players in-game that you can train and level up. The amiibo also allows them to swap riders just like in the game to choose their rider and machine. New Meta Knight & Shadow Star, King Dedede & Tank Star, and Chef Kawasaki & Hop Star amiibo will launch in 2026.

This successor to 2003’s Kirby Air Ride offers many new features, including a wide range of playable characters across the Kirby series, a variety of machines, and more. Some of the characters include Daroach from Kirby: Squeak Squad, and Taranza from Kirby: Triple Deluxe. There’s also Rick from Kirby’s Dream Land 2, Marx from Kirby Super Star, Lololo & Lalala, Rocky, Scarfy, and Waddle Dee.
