Digital Extremes has announced that it is aiming to release the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warframe in 2026. Additionally, it has revealed that a closed beta for the Android version of the game will be available in November.
The Switch 2 version of Warframe will support DLSS when it launches in 2026. A first look at the new version of the game is available via Digital Extremes’ Twitch account. Further, pre-registration for the Android closed beta are available now.
Recently, Digital Extremes released new details on the next major update coming to Warframe, called “The Old Peace.” The update will release in December, alongside a new side story called “The Devil’s Triad.” According to a recent livestream, “The Devil’s Triad” adds three new Protoframes and Gemini Skins. It also features an expanded relationship and romance system, and a new game mode called The Descendia.
The new Warframes include Wisp, Harrow, and Uriel. When “The Old Peace” releases, it will add new larger-than-life ultimate abilities, plus a brand new player profile cosmetic called Honoria (Player Titles).
Earlier this week, Digital Extremes and Paizo announced that its collaboration between the tabletop RPG Starfinder and Warframe is available now. The print edition of the campaign costs $12.99, while the PDF version costs $8.99. Warframe is available now on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and a Nintendo Switch 2 version is in the works. Finally, Soulframe, Digital Extremes’ next game, will potentially release next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The pre-alpha for the game is now live.
