    Oshiri Dandy the Young Will Be Adapted Within Butt Detective Anime in April 2026

    The staff behind the Butt Detective anime has announced that the Oshiri Dandy the Young manga will be adapted within the anime. The staff will adapt the manga in new episodes of Butt Detective in April 2026. 

    The Oshiri Dandy the Young manga focuses on the adventures of the titular Butt Detective’s father. The manga initially released in Shueisha’s Saikyō Jump magazine in 2020.     Recently, new episodes of Butt Detective started airing on October 4, which focused on the protagonist losing his memories. Earlier this year, the most recent film in the series, Butt Detective: Star and Moon, premiered in theaters in Japan on March 20. The anime returned on April 5. The cast for Butt Detective: Star and Moon includes:

    Butt Detective initially premiered on NHK International in 2018. The series focuses on a detective with a butt for his face and his partner, a small brown dog named Brown, as they solve crimes. 

    Toei Animation describes the story of the series as follows:

    He’s chivalrous, cunning, and his looks are anything “butt”… Meet Butt Detective, a gentleman whose catch phrase is, “Hmm…I smell a case.” Every day, he poots the big city’s cases to rest. Join Butt Detective and his cast of funny allies as they solve mysteries together.
