Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation released a new trailer for the upcoming Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara CG anime, revealing the anime’s cast members. In addition, a new teaser visual for the anime was released.
The anime’s cast includes Aya Yamane as Maru and Karin Takahashi as Coco. Xenoblade Chronicles character designer Masatsugu Saitō is the character design for Coco, which is illustrated above in the teaser visual. Katsuie Shibata writes the screenplay, Masayuki Gotou is the monster designer, and Hollywood CG art director Sei Nakashima is the character designer for Maru.
The story of the Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara anime takes place in Sakai in Japan’s Osaka prefecture, and the theme is centered around a story about kaiju and girls. The staff are aiming to release the project to a worldwide audience.
Previously, a full anime short for Kaiju Decode streamed in December 2021 on the Tsuburaya Imagination website, and a VR anime short titled Kaiju Decode: First Contact was released the same day for Meta Quest. These anime are are considered the “first part” of the overall Kaiju Decode project.
S/N directed the anime at Arect. Tetsuya Yamada was the scriptwriter, and Tadahiko Inoue was the music composer. The anime starred Nobunaga Shimazaki as Rei, Marika Kōno as Miru, Mayumi Shintani as Zora, and Aya Yamane as Real Rei. Lastly, Kōichi Noguchi and Masahiro Onda are the producers, and Nakashima is the character designer.
