2K Games and Gearbox Software announced the Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 1: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day DLC will release on November 20. Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 1 adds new “bite-sized-yet-flavorful narrative content to Kairos” with new gear and cosmetics, including a new Vault Card that lets players unlock additional loot through gameplay. The DLC will be available in the Bounty Pack Bundle and separately.

What’s more, the game’s first limited-time Seasonal Mini-Event, Horrors of Kairos, will be held from October 23 to November 6. During the event, there will be world boss encounters that change the weather to a “terror-inducing blood rain,” with new Legendary loot like the “Murmur” Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle and “Skully” Legendary Order Grenade.

Afterward, the Borderlands 4 DLC Vault Hunter C4SH will launch in Q1 2026 alongside the new Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. C4SH is the first of various DLC Vault Hunters that will be introduced in the game next year, and players with the Super Deluxe Edition and/or Vault Hunter Pack. Players can expect new main story missions, a new map zone, new legendary gear and cosmetics, and much more with the Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned DLC.

Borderlands 4 launched first on September 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version was planned for release on October 3, but Gearbox Software delayed the release for “additional development and polish time,” and all digital pre-orders in the Nintendo eShop to date have been canceled.
