Treyarch has announced that it will add a playlist to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta which tones down skill-based matchmaking. The announcement comes after years of fans clamoring for the complete removal of SBMM.
On its official Twitter/X account, Treyarch states the following:
“We are excited to see the response to today’s Open Moshpit playlist change with classic matchmaking where skill is minimally considered. As a reminder, we’re always listening to our community. As many of you have noted, we continue to prioritize updates (and why we’re making them) based on player feedback.
Beta is all about trying things, gathering data and being a part of the community dialogue. We look forward to sharing more in-depth takeaways from the Beta on the road to launch, including more on matchmaking and how we keep players together.
In the meantime – get into the Black Ops 7 Beta and tell us what you think. Open Beta starts tomorrow, so keep a lookout for new content and additional changes. We will be listening and testing throughout.
