The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association announced that Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be TGS’ first five-day event, taking place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from September 17 to September 21, 2026. The first two days of Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be business days, followed by three days of access for the general public, which gives public attendees an extra day to enjoy the exhibitions and demos.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 ran from September 25 to 28 at the same Makuhari Messe venue. The event was one of the biggest in TGS history with more than 4,000 booths. 1,136 companies, publishers, and developers from 47 different countries participated in the four-day event. Tokyo Game Show 2025 also had a total attendance of 263,101 attendees, which is the third-highest in the annual event’s history.
The event had many announcements and reveals for Japanese gaming fans, including Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat, Fire Emblem Shadows, Mamorukun Curse! 2, and ONI Zero: Cross, to name a few. Microsoft also revealed pricing for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X PC handhelds and announced Forza Horizon 6, the next major entry in the long-running racing series, which is set in Japan.
