NEXON announced the upcoming Season 3 Episode 2 update for The First Descendant will launch on November 6 with a collaboration with SEGA’s Bayonetta. The Umbra Witch joins The First Descendant with new legendary full-body skins, weapons, and emotes themed after the Bayonetta series.
A developer livestream is scheduled for Friday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m. PDT / 8:00 p.m. EDT with a live look at the Bayonetta cosplay from Tokyo Game Show. The stream will also reveal an early preview of the October 1 update, the new “Sword” weapon, and a new dungeon.
The announcement comes during the 15th anniversary year of the the Bayonetta franchise. Bayonetta first launched on October 29, 2009, but the company is celebrating the game’s worldwide release in January 2010. You can also now download official Bayonetta New Year’s wallpapers on the PlatinumGames website, with or without a January 2025 calendar.
Bayonetta is available on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 3, and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon are available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
