In his latest newsletter, Toby Fox has shared a progress update for Chapter 5 of Deltarune, confirming that it won’t release in the first half of 2026. However, he did release a look at an optional encounter that players may experience when Chapter 5 releases.
In the newsletter, Fox elaborates explains that he would like to finish localization by late 2025, and that, “factoring the localization and testing… I don’t think that the game will be released in the first half of 2026.” Since the end credits of Deltarune chapter 4 state that chapter 5 will release in 2026, it is possible that it will release in the second half of the year.
Fox goes on to say that “we don’t have any external factors surrounding the release date this time. We’ll release it when it’s done, and we will continue to update you guys on the progress of its completion.” Check out the first footage from chapter 5, showcasing an interaction between a few NPCs in Castle Town, below:
Recently, Materia Collective announced that pre-orders for the vinyl and CD versions of the Deltarune Piano Collections Volume 1 album are now live. The digital version of the album is currently available for streaming and purchasing, alongside sheet music for all fourteen tracks. The album is arranged and performed by Trevor Alan Gomes and produced by Sydney Kjerstad and Jamie Mac Rae.
