Niantic and The Pokémon Company announced the Pokémon GO City Safari events in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Cancún, Valencia, and Vancouver will feature GO Stamp Rallies. This will be the first time that GO Stamp Rallies are being made available in Pokémon GO outside Japan.
During GO Stamp Rallies, Pokémon GO players are encouraged to explore iconic locations and landmarks throughout the host city to collect in-game stamps and complete their stamp rally during a City Safari event. The stamp rally is activated by entering the citywide gameplay area of their host city. Then, players must approach any PokéStop that is part of the City Safari stamp rally to receive their stamp sheet and begin their journey.
Players may spin the the Photo Disc of a participating PokéStop to add stamps to their stamp sheet. The stamp’s appearance will vary on how long the player presses down when stamping their sheet, and it will display the PokéStop’s name and date. Players can collect up to eight stamps during the City Safari stamp rally. For each stamp, players will get an encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat.
What’s more, the Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over and Groudon Shadow Raid Weekend events will be held later this month. Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over will take place first in Pokémon GO from September 16 at 10:00 a.m. to September 21 at 8:00 p.m. local time, followed by Groudon Shadow Raid Weekend from September 20 at 6:00 a.m. to September 21 at 10:00 p.m.
Lastly, Pokémon GO is available now for Android and iOS, and more details about upcoming events can be found at the official blog.
