Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will run at a stable 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2 with “smooth performance and crisp visuals.” Aside from 30 FPS, Square Enix did not reveal any information about performance modes for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Nintendo Switch 2.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in winter 2025. This version of the game includes both Final Fantasy VII Remake and the Episode INTERmission DLC featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. Previously, Square Enix revealed various 4K Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade screenshots for the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
According to Naoki Hamaguchi, the power of Nintendo Switch 2 allows Square Enix to “recreate Midgar with full specs,” making Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and the series possible on the platform. Hamaguchi also has high hopes to build a strong partnership between Nintendo and the Final Fantasy brand. Once again, Hamaguchi’s comments essentially confirm that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 will both come to Nintendo Switch 2 at some point.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
