Saroasis Studios announced free-to-play anime hero shooter Fate Trigger will launch in early access in Q1 2026. The developers also confirmed that the game will support cross-play and first-person point-of-view in select game modes in future updates.

Saroasis Studios’ Gamescom 2025 booth gave players an updated look at Fate Trigger, and there were cosplayers and live competitions featuring streamers like Tuonto, Kariyu, BTMC, Keeoh+, Locklear, Skyrroz, Dhalucard, Rpr, Schrodinger and Arii. At the event, Saroasis Studios confirmed that Fate Trigger will continue to receive esports and community competitions, and there are plans for physical media releases.

Saroasis Studios previously launched the Fate Trigger closed beta test on July 24 to give fans a preview of what’s to come. The test followed a very successful Steam alpha with over 300,000 applicants. The closed beta test introduced three new playable heroes: Bloodprowler Ryoin, Crystalscar Cynric and Lootracer Mindy. This brought the total number of playable characters up to 10 for the closed beta test.

The classic battle royale mode that players can come to expect will return in Fate Trigger, but there will also be new game modes to play. The closed beta test offered Ranked Matches, Quick Trials and an 8v8 Team Deathmatch mode. Moreover, the number of weapons and vehicles were increased, with five additional weapons and two new vehicles.

Fate Trigger will be available across Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In September 2024, Final Weapon had the opportunity to preview Fate Trigger and see what the battle royale game has to offer.
