Happinet announced the TV anime adaptation of Yui Tamura’s Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days (Yano-kun no Futsū no Hibi) manga will premiere on September 30. The anime will debut on Nippon TV and other networks, and a livestream will be held on Yano-kun’s birthday on September 13.
New cast members were also confirmed:
- Satoshi Hino as Yano’s Father
- Takuya Eguchi as Mr. Omiya
FANTASTICS performs the opening theme song “POP LIFE.”
The cast and staff of the anime include:
- Kōhei Amasaki as Tsuyoshi Yano
- Yuka Nukui as Kiyoko Yoshida
- Taito Ban as Hashiba
- Rie Takahashi as Izumi
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Mei
- Ryōta Iwasaki as Tanaka
Shinpei Matsuo is directing the anime at Ajia-do. Deko Akao is writing the script, while Toshihisa Kaiya handles character design. Hideakira Kimura is composing the music, and Yayoi Tateishi is the anime’s sound director. Bit Groove Promotion is responsible for sound production, while Nippon TV Music handles music production.
Yui Tamura initially released the manga in June 2021 via Kodansha’s Comic Days. The comedy manga focuses on Tsuyoshi Yano, the perennially unlucky high school boy, and Kiyoko Yoshida, a classmate who constantly worries about him. After seeing Yano come into school injured, Yoshida begins following him out of concern. She observes his day-to-day unlucky life and resolves to support him.
