Bandai Namco announced the next Tales of Remastered game will be revealed on August 19 at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT. Fans can tune into the premiere of the next Tales of Remastered reveal on YouTube.
Shortly before the launch of Tales of Graces f Remastered on January 17, Bandai Namco filed a trademark for Tales of the Abyss on January 16, which was made public on January 24. A Tales of the Abyss remaster could be part of the franchise’s “two-year-long” 30th anniversary project. Tales of Xillia is also a favorite among the possible remasters, since a removed “Tales of Series News” video from Bandai Namco used a skit from the game as the thumbnail.
In December 2024, producer Yusuke Tomizawa noted that Bandai Namco is planning more announcements for the franchise “fairly consistently.” This is due in part to Bandai Namco’s new “dedicated development line for remastered projects.” More announcements are expected in 2025 and 2026.
Tales of Graces f Remastered is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The remastered version features enhanced visuals and gameplay, the ability to switch encounters off, 80 previously released DLC, and more. Moreover, all versions of the game will run at 60 FPS, with the exception of the Nintendo Switch version.
This past February, Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket platform released the final chapter of the Tales of Crestoria manga series by Jun Kumagai and Tsubaki Ayasugi. The final chapter of the Tales of Crestoria manga is only available in Japan. The manga launched in December 2022 in Magazine Pocket, nearly 10 months after the game reached end of service.
