Guilty Gear Strive Reveals New Lucy Starter Guide

Arc System Works revealed a new Starter Guide video for Lucy, the last DLC character for Guilty Gear Strive Season 4. Lucy will be released alongside a battle balance update on August 21, and various songs from Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Edgerunners will be added, including “Run to the Edge,” “Cyberwildlife Park,” “Chippin’ In,” “Never Fade Away,” and “I Really Want to Stay At Your House.”

Guilty Gear Strive Lucy Starter Guide

Previously, the developers revealed some new information from the Guilty Gear Live Broadcast, which celebrated Lucy joining the game and Strive reaching 3.5 million users. At this event, Arc System Works previewed Zato’s new special move that will arrive in the next update.

The developers also teased the 2.00 update coming in 2026, with a few character hints. Two character silhouettes were shown, which appear to tease Jam and Robo Ky.

Moreover, the developers discussed future updates, balance changes, and more season 4 updates in the recent 18th Developer’s Backyard. They also revealed some key details and concept art for Dizzy, Venom, and Unika.

Next, Arc System Works released the Guilty Gear Strive “ECHO OF THE RULERS” album, featuring various character theme songs from the Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers anime series. The album is now streaming on all major music distribution platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and others.

Lastly, the Nintendo Switch version of GGST will receive a comprehensive update in Fall 2025. This update will include the following:

  • New playable characters Venom, Unika, and Lucy
  • Ranked Match mode and balance updates
  • Addition of Digital Figures
  • Fixes for text readability issues in specific languages

Guilty Gear Strive is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows.
