Niantic and The Pokémon Company confirmed the new Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect will be available for Eternatus, the Gigantic Pokémon, during the Pokémon GO Dark Skies event. As previously announced, the Dark Skies event is part of the lead-up to the Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale event, which begins August 23.
During the event, Eternatus can use the Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon, which temporarily boosts Trainers’ Max Moves by one level for 10 minutes when used outside of battle. This boost can upgrade Level 3 Max Moves into Level 4 for an even greater surge of power.
Pokémon GO players can encounter and catch Eternatus with Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon by progressing through the GO Pass: Max Finale. This GO Pass will be available for free to all Trainers above level 13 starting August 18.
Moreover, Pokémon GO players can activate Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect by using 5,000 Stardust and 30 Eternatus Candy. Players can extend the initial 10-minute time by using additional Stardust and Eternatus Candy.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale event will also include every Gigantamax Pokémon currently available in the game. There will also be more chances to take on Eternatus alongside Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta. More details can be found at the official Pokémon GO blog.
