Niantic and The Pokémon Company revealed the Dark Skies and GO Fest 2025: Max Finale global events will be held in Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO: Dark Skies begins on August 18, followed by Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale on August 23.
Gigantic Pokémon Eternatus will make its global Pokémon GO debut in a showdown featuring legendary Pokémon Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, who are making their return from Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global. Pokémon GO: Dark Skies will run from Monday, August 18 through Sunday, August 24 with a variety of Dynamax Pokémon, including Eternamax Eternatus. The event will reach its climax on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, with Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale.
All Trainers at level 13 and above will automatically receive the GO Pass: Max Finale when the Dark Skies event begins on August 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Trainers can purchase the GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale to greatly improve their candy rewards throughout the event and earn a number of extra rewards. Progressing through the GO Pass also unlocks an encounter with Eternatus and other Dynamax Pokemon, along with more Candy and Max Particles as rewards.
Pokemon GO players can also look forward to a boost in activity throughout Dark Skies as more Power Spots become active and the Max Particle collection limit is temporarily increased. During the finale, Trainers will receive additional Candy for catching Pokémon, there will be no limit on daily remote raids.
