What is The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales?

In a corner of a continent overrun with beast tribes, the Kingdom of Huther is humanity’s sole bastion, kept safe by a magic barrier.

After the discovery of heretofore unknown ruins, the adventurer Elliot and his fairy sidekick Faie brave the dangers outside the kingdom on a journey that spans not only the continent, but its thousand-year history.

As Elliot, you’ll open new paths as you explore this untamed continent, reveal the world’s mysterious history and enjoy intuitive and rewarding action-based battle with a healthy dose of strategic support abilities from a fairy.

Herein are intertwined the fates of one adventurer and one fairy. It is time to unravel the threads of history

Prologue

One day, an adventurer named Elliot is ordered by the king to investigate ruins newly discovered outside the castle walls. With support from Princess Heuria, whose magic maintains the kingdom’s spell of Safekeeping, Elliot explores the ruins and finds in its depths a huge, mysterious artifact.

It is the Doorway of Time, a portal connecting the present and the past. What awaits beyond this door that transcends time and space?

The World of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales

The story takes place on the continent of Philabieldia – a land overrun with beast tribes and monsters.

Humanity has cast the spell of Safekeeping in a corner of this world, repelling the threat of external enemies and maintaining prosperity.

The Kingdom of Huther is located in a corner of Philabieldia.

Thanks to the spell of Safekeeping cast by Princess Heuria, humanity has been able to maintain a safe country on this continent.

Because of this, the era is referred to as the “Age of Safekeeping.”

Characters

Next, we’ll introduce the protagonist of the game, and his fairy partner!

Elliot

Elliot is the hero of this adventure.

He makes his living as an adventurer who undertakes requests from townspeople in exchange for rewards.

Faie

For whatever reason, no one but Elliot can see or hear this fairy.

As Elliot’s partner, she uses her special abilities to support him on his journey.

Princess Heuria

Heuria is the princess of the Kingdom of Huther.

Born with powerful magic, she protects the kingdom by maintaining the spell of Safekeeping. As a result, although she longs for adventure, she cannot leave the castle.

Elliot’s actions

Elliot the adventurer and the fairy Faie join forces to battle enemies and explore dungeons. Players control Elliot directly, skillfully wielding a variety of weapons in action-based battles, while giving instructions to Faie at Elliot’s side.

Strategic use of Faie’s abilities is the key to advantageous adventuring.

The battles in this game are simple, but timing is crucial. Watch your enemies’ movements closely and switch between attack and dodging.

If you guard with your shield precisely as an attack is about to hit, you can reflect projectiles or disrupt the enemy’s stance to create opportunities for counterattacks.

Jump over scattered terrain or enemies that crawl along the ground as they attack.

Faie’s actions

Faie helps by picking up items and providing a little support when attacking enemies. You can control her directly with the R stick, or have a second player control her in local co-op mode.

Faie pushes Elliot ahead at high speed. Use it to solve puzzles, escape danger, or simply get to where you’re going faster than usual.

Faie warps Elliot to where she is located. Strategically use this ability to get past obstacles and dodge attacks, or get the jump on enemies from behind.

Weapons

Elliot can find and equip seven different types of weapon as you progress through the adventure. Two weapons may be equipped for use simultaneously. To fight most effectively, change weapons as enemy characteristics and the situation demands.

Swords

Hold down the attack button to unleash powerful special moves!

Bows

Chains and Sickles

Chains and sickles can be used to deliver wide-range normal attacks or pull distant enemies closer with a special move.

Magicite

Collect magicite fragments from treasure chests, etc., and use them to generate magicite at the magicite shop. Equipping magicite will grant various additional effects to your weapons. Combine magicite that matches your play style to gain the upper hand in battle.

For example, equipping certain magicite with a chain and sickle enables a special attack that launches fireballs!

Shortcut Menu

With a single button, you can call up a shortcut menu to quickly change weapons, Faie’s abilities, or your magicite set. Time doesn’t pass while the shortcut menu is open, so feel free to plan your next action at your own pace.
