Square Enix revealed The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales during today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. This brand-new HD-2D release features real-time action combat, seemingly similar to the HD-2.5D release of Star Ocean The Second Story R. A Debut Demo is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, so you can try out the game today and share feedback to shape the final release.
Set in the world of Philabieldia, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is the next new game from Team Asano, best known for its work on the Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default series. Titular protagonist Elliot and his fairy companion Faie embark on a journey to mysterious ruins, which leads to a wild adventure across time and space.
The real-time combat system lets you wield swords, bows, chains, and more. Seven weapon types are available to choose from, and you can strengthen your weapons using Magicite to create a combat system that matches your play style. Check out the reveal trailer below:
