Nintendo published its earnings release for the first quarter of fiscal year ending on March 31, 2026, confirming that Nintendo Switch 2 reached 6 million units in global sell-through as of around July 24.
Roughly 5.82 million Switch 2 units were sold by June 30, 2025, which is the very end of the first quarter (April 1 to June 30). In the same quarter, 8.67 million Switch 2 software units were sold.
Additionally, Nintendo confirmed that Mario Kart World reached 5.63 million units sold for Nintendo Switch 2 as of June 30. This means the game had an attach rate of nearly 96% for all Nintendo Switch 2 units sold in the first month.
