IMAGICA Infos announced the production of a “light anime” adaptation of Akira Iwafune’s Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru (Potions Will Save Me) novel series. The new anime series will premiere in October 2025.
As a light anime, Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru features a more simple animation style, which reduces production time and costs. It’s unclear how long the anime will air, however.
What’s more, Mikiko Furukawa directs the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio. Studio KAIBA is assisting with animation, Yūichi Imaizumi is the sound director, bermei.inazawa is the music composer, and Kazuya Takahashi is supervising the anime’s production.
Iwafune first launched Potion, Waga Mi wo Tasukeru on the Let’s Become a Novelist website from April 2014 to September 2024. Shufunotomo published the first novel volume in print with illustrations by Yoshi Tobe in 2015. 10 volumes have been released to date, and Tobe is also in charge of the manga adaptation.
