At Anime Expo 2025, the Blue Archive development team took the stage with a presentation that reflects on the past year of events while looking forward to what’s in store for the game’s future. Key team members joined the Blue Archive Anime Expo 2025 panel, including executive producer Yongha Kim, studio producer Gyeongseop An, and music director Mitsukiyo.

The Anime Expo 2025 panel highlighted some of the most notable Blue Archive updates, including the “-ive aLIVE!” event update. The update saw After School Sweets Club transform into a band with students wielding instruments instead of weapons. There were also visually distinct costume and background designs, with one capturing Kazusa’s passionate stage presence. The track “Colorful Canvas” by After School Sweets Club’s Sugar Rush band also became popular, and Mitsukiyo noted that the song was refreshing and reflected the theme of the event, as the students practiced and enjoyed their youth.

The “Serenade Promenade” event was another key highlight of the past year, as it introduced a new idol group from Trinity, made up of members of the Justice Task Force and Rescue Knights. Serenade Promenade’s story emphasized the group’s unity and shared dream, while the theme song “Tomodachi One-Step” conveyed the strong emotions of friendship through a heartfelt melody.

The “Sheside outside” event brought a surprising twist, as the Arius Squad went on a summer vacation. Despite their dark and difficult backgrounds, Arius Squad enjoyed a long-overdue moment of peace and joy. After reminiscing and discussing these events, the Blue Archive team focused on what’s next for the game.

The new Field Exploration gameplay feature is also a major highlight of the update, allowing players to explore a campus divided into uniquely themed zones.

The panel also highlighted the new Steam version of Blue Archive brought some insight into the improvements made for the PC version. Blue Archive’s development team expressed their gratitude for the game’s overwhelmingly positive response, and they’re excited that players can experience the game seamlessly on PC with their original mobile accounts. The team is committed to optimize gameplay for all platforms. What’s more, new merchandise is in production, including more scale figures.

Near the end of the panel, a world premiere was unveiled for the main story, revealing that the mystery surrounding Decagrammaton will soon reach a new turning point. A new chapter will begin with the arrival of the prophets in Kivotos, and students now must confront the enormous Decagrammaton.
