    Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories is Getting its 15th Season

    Naoto Inti Raymi will perform the ending theme song.

    The staff for the Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories television anime announced that the series will be getting its 15th season. A teaser trailer revealed that the anime will premiere on July 13 on the TV Tokyo channel. The theme for the 15th season has been titled “Remains.” According to the official website, Naoto Inti Raymi is performing the ending theme song “Dauto.”

    Akira Funada, who has led the anime for the last four seasons, returns to direct the anime at ILCA, with production cooperation from ILCASHIPS and LEON STUDIO. Hiromu Kumamoto, Mitsuhiro Sasaki, and Kanako Ishigam will participate in the anime as scriptwriters. Yū Ebihara is animating the opening and ending.

    Kazuma Taketani, Jimmy, “nishiyama&rie,” Momoka Higurashi, Hiromasa Horie, OHAGI, Takashi Iitsuka, and Norio Yamakawa join the projects as animators. Shōma Mutō, Choji Yoshikawa, and Kazuma Taketani join as storyboarders.

    The anime first premiered on July 13th, with the last season airing on January 4th, 2025. The anime inspired its spinoff, titled The World Yamizukan, in the spring of 2017. Fans can watch the past seasons of the anime and the spinoff on Crunchyroll.
