During the recent Warhammer Skulls 2025 event, Games Workshop revealed several updates about the future of the Warhammer games franchise. This includes the announcement of new games and upcoming expansions to games that are already available.
The major announcements during the Warhammer Skulls event are as follows:
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition
- A remastered version of the original Space Marine, featuring updated visuals, audio, gameplay, and more.
- Releasing on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass on June 10.
- Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
- A tactical cRPG where you take control of the Inquisition as you in a turn-based party-oriented journey to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.
- Releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition
- The 2004 RTS has returned in one definitive package, featuring new lighting, visual updates, four campaigns, multiplayer, and more.
- Releasing on PC via Steam and GOG
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2
- Continues directly off of the events of the original game, featuring the same non-linear high-speed shooter gameplay with new weapons and a brand-new story.
- Releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance
- A free typing game that challenges players to spell words and phrases from Warhammer lore in order to slaughter the various enemies from the original Boltgun.
- Available now on PC via Steam.
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II – Siege Mode
- Battle through an unending onslaught of Tyranids and Chaos for as long as possible, while earning points to use on weapons, health, equipment, or the summoning of Astartes allies.
- Releasing soon in an update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – New Arbites Class
- A brand-new class releasing for Darktide, the Arbites is devoted to the Imperial Law and punishing Heretics by any means necessary.
- Releasing on June 23 for $11.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
- Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader – Lex Imperialis DLC
- A new fifteen hour storyline that introduces Adeptus Arbites, a new companion, and more.
- Releasing on June 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and PC.
- Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2
- New gameplay footage for the upcoming blend between fast-paced combat and strategic management has released. The game features two playable factions and two separate campaigns.
- Releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
- Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Well of Dreams Map
- A new free map that concludes the Verminous Dreams campaign where you must race against time through the Warlord’s stronghold.
