In the Nintendo Today app, Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 features adjustable mouse sensitivity options for the Joy-Con 2 controllers. The options can be found in the System Settings menu.
Players can place a Joy-Con 2 controller down on a flat surface, attachment side down, to use mouse controls on Nintendo Switch 2. A cursor speed can be selected to match the user’s preference: High, Medium, or Low. Some games offer more detailed settings, and mouse sensitivity settings do not apply in select games.
Nintendo previously showcased its official Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case. The carrying case has enough room for six game cards and two Joy-Con 2 straps, along with the actual Nintendo Switch 2 console and Joy-Con 2 controllers, and it will be available at Nintendo.com and retailers.
Nintendo Today also confirmed that video captures on the Nintendo Switch 2 will still be 30 seconds long, just like its predecessor. The original Nintendo Switch recorded video at 720p/30 FPS, and it’s likely that Nintendo Switch 2 will record footage at 1080p. Further details were not revealed yet, however.
Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will also be available.
