PlayStation has announced a new system software update for the PlayStation 5, which features the return of the classic console UI designs. The update will also include a new audio focus mode.
Audio focus will allow players to adjust sounds to meet their specific preferences. You can boost the level of low pitch, voices, high pitch, and quiet sounds through your headphones. Last year, PlayStation added themes for the PlayStation 5 to commemorate its 30th anniversary. The themes are based off of the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from fans, the themes have returned. Players can adjust the themes via the Appearance menu in settings. The new system software update will release on April 24.
Recently, PlayStation and Sucker Punch announced that Ghost of Yōtei, the next entry in the Ghost of Tsushima franchise, will release on October 2. Pre-orders for the game will go live on May 2. Three editions will be available: a standard edition for $69.99, a digital deluxe edition for $79.99, and a Collector’s Edition. If you pre-order the game, you will receive six avatars to use on your PlayStation profile and an in-game mask.
The digital deluxe edition includes an armor set, armor dye, a horse and saddle, a sword kit, and early access to “traveler’s maps.” The collector’s edition will include all digital items mentioned above, as well as a physical sash, ghost mask, Tsuba, art cards, Zeni Hajiki coin game and pouch, and a papercraft Ginkgo tree.
The new PlayStation 5 system software update, featuring the new audio focus mode and the return of classic console UI designs, will release on April 24.
