The new live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding will be held by newly appointed director Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One). A24 will produce the Death Stranding film with game producer Hideo Kojima as the film’s producer, according to Deadline.
The film will delve into the mysterious of Death Stranding, which first released in 2019. The game stars Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, a delivery man who must travel across a broken America and reunite it. In our review of the PC release, we stated the game creates “an experience like nothing else on the market that is fresh and extremely thought provoking.”
Previously, Kojima Productions confirmed that Death Stranding surpassed 20 million players worldwide across the original game and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. Moreover, Milan Records released the “To The Wilder” track by acclaimed artist Woodkid, which is the lead single for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Kojima Productions and Titan Books recently announced The Art of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be released in fall 2025. Serving as a follow-up to the original art book, the new book will feature illustrations and insight into the characters, scenery, and other development materials.
