Today at SXSW 2025, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions revealed that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will release on June 26, 2025. The trailer, titled Pre-Order Trailer, is over 10 minutes in length, showcasing many of the gorgeous environments that await in Hideo Kojima’s next game.
“Embark on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA. Sam—with companions by his side—sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected? Step by step, legendary game creator Hideo Kojima changes the world once again.”

Death Stranding was first released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2019. The game featured Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, a delivery man who must travel across a broken America and reunite it. In our review of the PC release, we stated the game creates ” an experience like nothing else on the market that is fresh and extremely thought provoking.”
Death Stranding 2 – On The Beach will release on June 26 for PlayStation 5 exclusively. No PC release has been confirmed by either Sony or Kojima Productions at this time.
