The Apothecary Diaries episode 36 had an intimate scene between Jinshi and Maomao, with Jinshi preparing to tell her the truth he’s been hiding for so long. During the scene, Maomao was accidentally pressing her hand against his crotch, discovering that Jinshi is not a eunuch after all. She got an inkling of what he was going to admit, but Maomao decided to act evasive in order to avoid being more involved in his personal life.
In truth, Jinshi is the “Moon Prince” and the inheritor to the throne as the emperor’s younger brother. Gaoshun is aware of Jinshi’s true identity, as he also hides his own as a member of the Ma family. The episode resolves the situation at Shishou’s territory, as the culprits of the Jinshi’s assassination scheme are arrested quickly with the help of Basen and the others. Moreover, Jinshi and Maomao have another heartful moment when Jinshi gives her the ox bezoars that she was so wanting.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Episode 37 Release Date, Time and Where to Watch
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 episode 37 premieres on Friday, April 4 at 9:15 a.m. PDT / 12:15 p.m. EDT on Crunchyroll. The new episode is titled “The Baths” and it will stream with English subs first, followed by the English dub at a later date. 12 episodes will release in the second cour of Season 2, according to the anime’s schedule.

What to Expect in Episode 37
After many years of service in the rear palace, Xiaolan will soon end her stay, and she consults Maomao about where to work next. While Maomao listens to her, Shisui suggests that the three girls head to the bathhouse to seek new connections before Xiaolan leaves. At the public bath, Maomao notices that its not only used by handmaidens but lower and mid-ranking consorts.
