Nintendo has announced that Fortnite will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. It will be a launch title alongside Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, and more.
The new version of Fortnite will feature new performance updates to make the game run better on the new hardware. Fortnite Festival, Lego Fortnite, Zero Build, Fortnite OG, and several of the game’s sub-titles will be available at launch. Recently, Epic Games added Scorpion from Mortal Kombat to Fortnite, alongside Raiden and Kitana. In March, Epic Games also announced that Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will feature a collaboration with the iconic Cowboy Bebop anime. Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine will appear as new outfits in the Fortnite Shop starting February 28 (EST). There were also limited-time side quests available until March 18.
Over the years, Fortnite has collaborated with several massive media properties. Examples include My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball, Attack on Titan, Naruto, Star Wars, Marvel, Metal Gear Solid, Kaiju No. 8, Godzilla, and more.
In 2024, Fortnite had a season dedicated to the Marvel universe, titled Absolute Doom. It focused on Doctor Doom and included him, plus Gwenpool, War Machine, “Peelverine,” Emma Frost, “Captain Jonesy,” Mysterio, and Shuri as the Black Panther.
Fortnite will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 when the console launches on June 5. The system will be available for $450 USD. A bundle including Mario Kart World will be available at launch for $500. Pre-orders will go live on April 9.
