Fortnite Reveals New Kaiju No. 8 Collaboration

Epic Games announced Fortnite will collaborate with the popular Kaiju No. 8 anime series, which is due for a second season in July 2025. There will be new shop bundles and skins featuring characters from the anime series.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 will premiere in July 2025 on TV Tokyo and affiliate channels, and it will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll. Kōki Uchiyama joins the anime series as Gen Harumi in the second season.

Before the second season premieres, a compilation film will cover the entire first season. The compilation film will be available for just three weeks only in participating theaters in Japan starting March 28, but it will screen worldwide at some point.

Moreover, the screening will feature the new “Hoshina’s Day Off” original episode. Yūto Tsukuda is the writer for the compilation film’s new episode, and Yuichiro Kido is the scriptwriter. OneRepublic performs the ending theme song “Invincible” for the new original episode.

All 12 episodes of Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 are streaming right now on Crunchyroll with English subs and dubs, along with several other language options. Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
